A Mastermind Group is a specially selected group of people with similar intentions who collaborate regularly to help each other achieve greater results.

Mastermind Groups have been the “secret weapon” of success-oriented business owners ever since Ben Franklin started the first one back in 1727! Napoleon Hill re-introduced the idea in his classic 1937 book, “Think and Grow Rich.”

Think you’re already having a Mastermind Experience?

Don’t be too sure!  The following groups are great but they are NOT Mastermind Groups.

Professional Associations, Networking & Leads Groups

These serve an important purpose, BUT they are all about networking and marketing – and you must “put on a good face”.  You don’t want to appear incompetent or unsuccessful to peers and potential clients, so you just smile and say “everything’s fine”.

Training Programs, Conferences, Conventions

Many people think that they are masterminding because they are learning a lot of information, attending events and meeting like-minded people.  Although these are useful experiences, the interactions are usually superficial and short lived and lack the ongoing, in-depth, committed framework of a mastermind group.

Coaches, Consultants, and Mentors

Yes, many of us have trusted coaches, consultants and mentors – another great resource, but this is only a one-on-one only relationship.

Group Coaching

In a coaching group, the coach is usually the only source of input and feedback.  Everyone in the group learns from hearing others being coached; however, there is typically little exchange of information and feedback between group members.

Mentor Led Mastermind Groups

Yes, many mentors and gurus offer their own Mastermind groups; however, these groups are typically very large and offer little individual attention. Also, these programs can cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars every month – and the timing may not yet be right for you to allocate and spend your funds in this way.

Casual Groups

Getting together with some colleagues on occasion to chat about businesses?   Typically, there is no planning, no real commitment, no agenda, no follow-up and no accountability.   These groups tend to be very casual and may include more socializing than true business development conversations.

The Authentic MASTERMIND GROUP EXPERIENCE is unlike any other!

In your MASTERMIND GROUP, you can be completely open about what’s REALLY going on in your business – the good, the bad & the ugly!

It’s only when you can be this candid that you get the input, help and support you truly need to move forward more quickly.

In your Mastermind Group, every member gets attention at every meeting – and all members together contribute to the “magical” experience by investing their time and energy working on each others’ businesses.

Imagine this power of multiple minds all working “on” YOUR business generating exponential results.

In a successful Mastermind Group,  there is trust, confidentiality, commitment, sharing, respect, support, positive energy, encouragement, the intention to be held accountable and hold others accountable, and “butt kicking” when necessary!

Trying to describe Masterminding is like trying to describe the taste of chocolate – you can know about it, read about it, and listen to other people talk about it, but you just have to experience it for yourself to really appreciate the richness of it.
